Riail na Gaeilge

Students are expected to make an honest effort to speak Irish at all times so the course environment remains genuinely immersive and constructive.

Behaviour and discipline

Misbehaviour, disruption, intimidation, or refusal to accept discipline can lead to removal from the course.

Alcohol, smoking, and substances

Smoking, alcohol, and controlled substances are strictly prohibited, with the most serious breaches leading to immediate removal and escalation where required.

Leaving the premises

Students cannot leave the coláiste during the course without permission from the authorities and written parent or guardian approval.

Punctuality and phone use

Students are expected to be punctual for all elements of the timetable, and mobile phones are not permitted on the course.

Personal property and damages

Students should not bring valuables, and parents or guardians are responsible for breakages or damage caused during the course.

Riail na Gaeilge process

  1. A first incident leads to a caution and the incident being noted.
  2. A second incident leads to a final caution and parent or guardian notification.
  3. A third incident results in dismissal from the course.
